The owners Allan and Shuwen were so hospitable and down to earth with their amazing sense of humour and warm presence. If you've had the same thing, you can ask them what you feel like and they will make amazing recommendations on what to try. We got abit of a feast with orange chicken 🐔, seasonal warm vegetables, in-house made dumplings, twice cooked pork with there delicious sauce, crabsticks, yummy wonton and the BEST POTATO FRITTERS in the whole of Wellington! If you are looking for a place were the food is good and the banter is great too, you got to go see the boys over at Wadestown Chinese Takeaways! If you are wondering where the potato fritters are in the picture, I ate them before we even got home, but they are crispy little nuggets thst have fallen from heaven and made there way in to the Menu!!! Ordered some takeaway food for the family after a long week and it hit the spot. Great service and yummy food. Our favourite takeaways! I’m not sure how they got the double sautéed pork so succulent but it was perfect. The pork dim sim full of meat and again so tasty they didn’t last long as soon as we opened it. The potato fritters are made by hand and while crispy and crunchy on the outside the soft hot potato on the inside is a match made in heaven. Bonn appetite!

Great local specialist Chinese Takeaway service. Can recommend the Beef in Black-bean Sauce which is a favourite. Have also tried SZECHUAN STYLE - Beef (served with white rice). Plenty of options to explore. It said that the secrets in the sauce or is the sauce in the secret, we’re not sure but they have definitely got the sauce worked out. Two really good people, Allan & Shuwen are good to talk to. Do you speak Mandarin they do and they’re quite happy to hear a few words while you wait. Fish & Chips highly recommend but generally go for the Chinese menu. Order online, by phone or just turn up.
